The NAPW Fresno Local Chapter gathered on June 20th at 11:00am for their first profession launch networking meeting at BJs Brewery. The Chapter discussed the benefits and meaning behind NAPW, welcomed Lucy Urtaza Vasquez, and established structure for a long lasting, strong Chapter.
Carla D. Flores, NAPW Fresno Local Chapter President, kicked of the meeting by welcoming all the ladies in attendance. They had four guests and five members present. The agenda had been printed out and presented on the table with all the goodies from the Launch Kit, which included NAPW journal books, brochures, NAPW lapel pins, and post-it notes. Carla recommended that all attendees should place any brochures and/or business cards on a centrally located table for access.
Carla expressed much enthusiasm when talking about the benefits that NAPW has to offer. She told the ladies that the organization is an exclusive network for professional women to interact, exchange ideas, educate, and empower. She also mentioned that members can enjoy a wealth of resources, benefits, and services dedicated to enhancing their lives and promoting their businesses and careers. Carla wants this to be the foundation of the Chapter.
She relayed to guests that NAPW provides seminars, podcasts, webinars, keynote speakers, and educational tools that foster critical skills that enable the members to achieve personal and career success. They also offer great networking tools, which allow members to discover new opportunities to connect, grow, learn, and inspire. This helps members showcase their businesses and gain exposure for professional endeavors.
Carla asked the members how long they had been members of NAPW and what they hope to gain from the Fresno Chapter. Each woman stated how impressed they were with all that NAPW has to offer and how great it is to finally have a Fresno Chapter.
“I am excited about this Chapter and to meet other professional women, forming friendships, and building a strong network, said Carla.
Carla relayed that it was exciting to hear from Cindy Leddicotte as she came to NAPW because of postings on Facebook from her. Carla friended Cindy to invite her to another networking group. Cindy began seeing Carlas posts about the NAPW Launch, checked out the website of NAPW, and ended up joining.
